I saw Spiderman 3 last night at the midnight showing. It was great!!! It's rare to find a trilogy where all 3 movies are equally good. If anyone reads my little posts, I'd recommend seeing it. It's action packed, has touching moments, even some hilarious scenes. Now I can't wait for the other summer movies. I'm most excited to see Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix. They showed a new preview and even my husband became excited. I just can't wait. |

I joined a local art club last night. I'm under pressure since most of my work (paintings, drawings, photography) is in Atlanta. They are allowing me to display some work for a judging this Friday. I have to try to come up with something great tonight to turn in tomorrow. It will be a rush job, but I have some good ideas so I'm counting the minutes so I can go home and get my supplies out.
In other news- My latest work in my other LJ (sim_fi) is up.

You know the emails you get that try to describe your personality by your birthmonth? Well, here's what mine said and most if it is pretty true.
JANUARY BABY Talkative (to people I know). Daydreamer (every day, almost all day since childhood). Friendly (very). Knows how to make friends (I guess). Abiding. Able to show character (sometimes). One guy/girl kind of person (amen to that). Loveable (my hubby says so). Easily hurt (I can hide it pretty good most times, but that's very true). Prone to getting colds (like over Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!). Loves music (200+ CD collection speaks volumes of truth to this). Pretty/handsome (I'm alright) . Loves to dress up (depends on where I'm going). Easily bored (and you see how true this is since I'm at work but on LJ all day!). Fussy (can't say that I am). Seldom shows emotions (depends, I usually hide my tears, but show my anger). Takes time to recover when hurt (I still harbor stuff from my past, so yes, very true). Sensitive (kind of). Down-to-Earth (super laid-back and liberal). Stubborn (no, more easy going). |

I'm working on a story that I hope to get ready for my other LJ over at sim_fi and as usual, my mind started to wander. I thought of Sci-fi movies that I would love if Hollywood would make up-to-date versions for or step it up in the sequels. (I'd love if I could help write/star in any of them too.) Anyway here's some of my thoughts:
1. Flash Gordon (1980) - I'd love to play Kala, Ming's daughter. I wish they would make a version that represents the technology that we have now with CGI, etc. I think an up-to-date version would ROCK!

| » Strange Dream |
I admit that I have WEIRD dreams all the time. I'm the same girl that dreamed Busta Rhymes was being forced to mate with me by aliens. Weird, yep. Last night I had a funny dream that President Bush was giving a speech but he was drunk. He was making all kinds of vulgar comments and stumbling around. It was hilarious because his advisors were just standing back and not trying to get him off of the stage. Then the dream got all weird on me (okay, weirder on me). He was no longer on stage but in a white room with me (maybe I was in the White House-LOL). The President was watching TV but his eyes were glazed over because he was still drunk. I went over to him in some tight clothes and kept sticking my butt out saying "You know you like black girls!" WHAT THE HELL! He just looked at my butt smiling and turned into a vampire! The dream promptly ended there. WEIRD!!!!!!!!!

| » A Little Update |
I just haven't shown any love to my old journal so here it is. Life for me has been okay. My mother-in-law had surgery to remove breast cancer on Monday. Luckily she only had to have the lump removed instead of her entire breast. She's doing well and will have to start chemo again in August. Otherwise, life is okay. Work is the same, filled with backstabbers and drama. Hope to update here more soon too.

Pimpology 101 (Volume I) (How to be a player in 8 easy steps) by Don Lothario

I was flipping around on the TV one day and saw the movie “Smustle & Flow.” The song from the movie, “It’s Hard Out There for a Pimp” was so inspiring. I thought to myself, self, it is hard being such a ladies man (or in the slang term pimp playa)! Then I thought, why not offer tips to other men that are trying to be pimps too. So I wrote this little book. I hope it helps. Check out the storyl!
*****First Post (Photos didn’t turn out great, but I’ll keep trying. Also, Don L. apologizes if he offends anyone. He is a ladies man after all and has to express himself!)

| » New Journal Site |
I've created a new journal in LJ. I'll be keeping both up, so for my friends that may take a second to read my page, here's my new site: sim_fi (Please add it to your friend list). I have been writing and writing and writing. I aim to have some kind of sim story online by next week. It won't be one of the big stories that I have planned, but I figure everyone has some legacy story or other funny tale. Well, we shall see what happens.

| » Great Times |
I had such a good time this past weekend with my friends. I'll be sure to post photos soon. It was good to take time to rest and see people that I haven't seen in over a year (some even longer).
